Biogas Plants Made from Stainless Steel
Biogas plants by WELTEC BIOPOWER® are made from stainless steel. The biogas forming in the fermenter contains amounts of hydrogen sulfide and ammonia. These aggressive chemicals attack unprotected components. That’s why we use:
- Stainless steel V2A (1.4301/AISI 304) in the area of the fluid level
- Stainless steel V4A (1.4571/AISI 316Ti) in the area of gas
That ensures the quality and guarantees a long service life of the entire system. Even after 20 years of operation, stainless steel still maintains a very high value.
Individual Possibilities Thanks to Modular Design
Since every system and every customer has different requirements, our biogas plants are of modular design. This allows for individual and flexible solutions—from compact systems through to computer-aided biogas systems in the megawatt range.
Sustainable Technology – For a Long Runtime
Technologies that are optimally matched form the basis for a reliable functionality of our plants: The substances used have to be comminuted and mixed together, the gas obtained is further processed and harnessed efficiently. That’s why we use only tried and tested system components and develop a majority of our technologies ourselves, e.g.:
- Metering technology for demand-oriented supply of the substrate
- Mixing equipment for effective mixing of the fermentation substrate and constant gas yield with low internal energy consumption
- Gas processing for optimum energy utilization in cogeneration plants
- Sanitation systems according to EU’s regulations on hygiene
- Solutions for conditioning of digestates
